Hill and Campaign Vet Dan Allen Now Speaking for George Allen

Georgeallen From this morning's Post, it appears that Dan Allen is now serving as chief spokesman for Sen. George Allen's (left) re-election campaign. Dan joined the Allen campaign as senior advisor Oct 2, but seems more recently to have been thrust into a day-to-day spokesman role, speaking for Allen on the stock options issue, Mark Foley, and other recent controversies. Dan was communications director at the NRSC during the '04 cycle, then went on to flack for Rep. Tom DeLay during the height of his problems, and for the past year has been an executive with Republican media firm Scott Howell & Associates.
