GW Hires New Executive Director of Media Relations

Candace Smith has joined The George Washington University as executive director of media relations, serving as the University's chief spokesperson. In her new role, Candace will oversee media relations activities and strategy, sports information and will serve as an integral part of the University's safety and security communications team.

Ms. Smith comes to GW from The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (METRO), where she served in various roles including spokeswoman, executive communications advisor to METRO's General Manager and media crisis communications coach. (PF Tipster)
