Washington Post Correspondent John Ward Anderson Joins Podesta Group as Principal
John Ward Anderson, a former foreign correspondent for The Washington Post and currently editor of POLITICO Magazine, will join the Podesta Group in January as a Principal. He will focus on the Podesta Group’s expanding international business and also will assist clients in public relations and media strategies.
Anderson currently is the editor of POLITICO Magazine, a major division of one of America’s most dynamic “new media” companies. He also assists in editing coverage of the White House, health care, energy and the environment, the economy and defense for POLITICO’s website and daily newspaper.
Prior to POLITICO, Anderson was one of the longest-serving foreign correspondents in the history of The Washington Post, spending 16 years overseas as the bureau chief in New Delhi, Mexico City, Istanbul, Jerusalem and Paris. He was one of The Post’s senior Baghdad correspondents, frequently reported from Afghanistan, and spearheaded the paper’s groundbreaking coverage of Iran.
Anderson is a graduate of Harvard College and lives in Silver Spring with his son and wife, Molly Moore, also a former Washington Post correspondent. (PF tipster)
