Ex-Mark Foley Flack Lands at Nat'l Security Group
Sometimes bad things happen to good flacks, and certainly Jason Kello's experience as comms director for former Rep. Mark Foley (right) qualifies. Kello had the unfortunate task of confronting Foley last fall with the steamy IM transcripts secured by ABC News, and then losing his job in a matter of hours after Foley resigned from Congress.
Well, we're happy to report that Kello has landed a new spokesguy job, as Director of Public Relations for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, a new national security-related nonprofit. The group's chairman, Mike McConnell, is the nominee for Director of National Intelligence.
Before serving Foley, Kello was speechwriter for Sen. George Allen and press secretary to Rep. Eric Cantor's (VA) first congressional campaign, among other gigs. We're happy for Kello and hope his new gig is a bit calmer than the last one.
