Hillary Expands '08 Comms Team

Hillaryclinton_1 Some new additions to Hillary's '08 press shop, courtesy The Caucus:

  • "Jennifer Hanley, the senator’s New York-based press secretary, who has long shown a fair and steady hand in dealing with the mob that is the New York City press corps...will be traveling press secretary for the campaign."
  • "Blake Zeff, the spokesman for the New York State Democratic Party, will become a spokesman for the campaign. Blake starts around the beginning of February and is moving to Washington, where Senator Clinton has decided to base her presidential campaign headquarters."  The NY Daily News dubbed Zeff the NY Democrats' "secret weapon."

WP's Chris Cillizza recaps that Howard Wolfson will be the campaign comms director and Phil Singer will be the deputy comms director. Also, Singer's wife Kim Molstre -- a comms veteran from Dick Gephardt and Nancy Pelosi -- will be director of scheduling and long-term planning.
