Former Huckabee Aide Stewart Named Communications Director for Lincoln Challenger Baker

State Sen. Gilbert Baker (R) has hired former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s (R-AR) presidential spokeswoman for his Senate campaign. Alice Stewart will be Baker’s Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director for his bid to win the GOP nomination to face Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) in 2010. Stewart served as Huckabee’s National Press Secretary on his 2008 presidential bid and recently worked as Communications Director for the Arkansas Republican Party. (Roll Call’s “Shop Talk” column)
