PF EXCLUSIVE: Gridiron Reprise tickets (Sunday, Mar. 15)

Gridiron Reprise
Get ready for some much-needed comic relief – the annual Gridiron Show.
The performance that merges political satire with your favorite tunes, performed by the nation’s top political journalists, has been a Washington tradition since 1885!
The Gridiron Club and Foundation skewers Presidents and congressional leaders, political candidates and journalists at a white-tie dinner on Saturday night with satire and songs. The next day, the club puts on another performance – known as the Gridiron Sunday reprise - for friends, family and select groups.

The 2020 Reprise will be held on Sunday, March 15, in the ballroom of the Washington Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW. A reception, which includes an open bar with beer, wine and soft drinks, begins at noon and the show starts at 1 p.m. The program will end by 3 p.m. (Note those are new times this year.) Dress is business casual.

Tickets are $80 each.

You will see well-known Gridiron members -- who might include Bret Baier of Fox News, Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune, Jonathan Karl of ABC News, Andrea Mitchell of NBC, Judy Woodruff of PBS and John Dickerson of CBS -- performing songs and skits in costume.

We expect syndicated columnist Mark Shields to relay highlights of the speeches that were delivered the night before, which typically include remarks by the President and a leading Democrat and leading Republican. Running the musical performance is the director of the President’s Own, the United States Marine Band, Col. Jason Fettig, the Club's musical director.

You can order tickets for $80 each by mailing checks made out to the Gridiron Club and Foundation to: Carol Stevens at 3507 N. Ohio Street, Arlington, VA 22207.

Your order with full payment must be received by Monday, March 2, 2020. Note that depending on your tax situation, about $54 of the cost is tax deductible because the Gridiron Club and Foundation is a charitable organization.

Your tickets will be mailed to you at the address you provide by March 9, 2020. (PF exclusive)
